[There's a frown on Henry's face, but it's more concerned than angry.]

You just got back but this seems like a goodbye. Is that what you told her? Goodbye?

I don't particularly want it to be a goodbye at all, lad. I wasn't sure how you might feel about the situation as it is, and I don't at all want you to feel uncomfortable with spending any time with me while your mother and I...try to figure out how best to deal with this situation. It's rather complicated.

[ He takes a deep breath, looking down at the ground. ]

I didn't tell her goodbye, I...told her I need some time to try and sort this through.

I once had to figure out how to spend time with two moms without hurting the other one's feelings. I can handle this. I don't feel bad. It's just...

[Henry looks down a little too, remembering how much his mom had been smiling in Storybrooke, thinking that he hadn't seen her smile like that in a long time.]

It's not fair. To you or my mom. No one did anything wrong. [ That has seriously become his mantra. ]

I just want everyone to be okay.

It isn't.

Henry, I do love your mother. Those feelings are quite real. But I have to honor my vows to Marian, I hope you can understand.

I know.

[He does understand, honest. He just knows that now his mom is going to be hurting and how is that fair? It's not fair to anyone but he's old enough now to realize that she keeps getting the bad end of every thing that happens.]

I just wish she could be happy and it stays that way.

[He can try, in any case. He can promise not to go anywhere again. Not for anything bad, anyway. Maybe. He hopes. He'd be breaking that promise just by leaving here again, he realizes.]

I wish that, too, Henry. And I'm...sorry I'm the cause of her unhappiness now.

[ It's pure agony. ]

I know you'll take care of her.

[Crying against his shoulder being one big thing.]

If you'd like that, and your mother feels alright about it, I'd quite enjoy that, Henry. You're a remarkable young lad, and I'd like to know you even better.

I still wanna learn the bow.

I still wanna show you different foods. I don't want anything to be over.

But I'm not giving up on anything either. If you love my mom and she loves you, then...I believe in that.

Don't let go of that faith, Henry, it'll serve you well, in many regards.

And I do believe we'll find our way through this.

Oh, and...I'm sorry. I knew what happened, but I couldn't tell you. I didn't mean to lie about it.

[Regina's taught him what lying by omission is, and that's what he did.]

It was better that I found out either from Regina or Emma, or on my own. There's nothing you need to apologize for, Henry. Honestly, no one needs to apologize; the situation is complicated enough as it is without adding extra burdens to everyone.

Perhaps in a few days you and I might go out and practice with the bow again?

[He can't quite manage a smile, but he does give a nod as he stuffs his hands in his pockets.]

I'd really like that. Just to get out of here, maybe not have to think about other things for a while.

Then we will. Perhaps within the next week?

[It's the week he has with Emma, which is actually probably really good.]

Okay, perfect. And I still have to teach you video games.
